4-Wheel Drives
The slopes of the Collegiate Peaks offer all levels of four wheel drive excitement. Jeep and ATV rental is available near by. Also, there are many scenic drives suitable for regular passenger cars.

Snowshoe and Snowmobiling

Scenic Hikes
The Colorado Trail actually passes just in front of our cabin as it drops down between Mt. Princeton and Mt. Antero.

Fishing
Fish off the back deck, walk 1/3 miles to a delightful pond or drive 5 miles to set flys on the waters of the Arkansas River.

Colorado State Fish Hatchery
A great place to let the kids count literally millions of fish. It is right down the road and it is free.

Ghost Town Exploration
St. Elmo (National Historic Site), Vicusbere and Winfield were booming mining towns in the 1880's. A short drive from our cabin allows you to ponder Colorado's boom days.

Walk or Bike
The Old Denver South Park and Pacific Railroad traveled up Chalk Creek Canyon to Gunnison. The level grade created for the railroad (Actually where our basement now sits) makes a delightful walk or bike ride - four miles up to Cascade Falls. Just one short mile east sits Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort; a delightful place to really relax and at the same time get re-energized by wonderful hot springs.

Just east on Count Rd. 162, Mt. Princeton Equestrian center offers a variety of riding experiences.

Wildlife Watch
A large variety of wildlife are often seen at or near our cabin; numerous birds, squirrels, and deer come by daily. Eagles, bighorn sheep, elk, mountain goats, antelope, and even an occasional black bear have been seen in Chalk Creek Canyon.
